Sentimental Sunday's - For a Child

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "For a Child"---so, does that mean a card to give a child, or does that mean a card about a child?!  Hmmm...  Mine is about a child/children!

I was excited about using this sentiment by Ann Vento-one from the set she created "for me", "my" quotes!  If you know me, you are not at all surprised that I would select this quote.  I love, love, LOVE children-raised 5 of my own and taught countless others.  I literally weep when I look at my children's baby pictures.  This quote expresses how I feel!  Thank you, Ann!  While this quote is no longer a freebie, I think you can pick it up at Whimsy (and I think there are some neat sales going on over there right now!)

This heart melting image is from A Day for Daisies.  I have to add these images on my fav list!  There are some exquisite mother and child images and some mighty cute child and fairy images!

I kept this card pretty clean and simple---Basic Grey DP, stitching, a Martha Stewart flower and a bit of tulle.  I colored with Copics.

Ha, we have both used A DAy For Daisies image, how cool is that! Great minds and so on...lol
Did you notice she has some real cool 50-ies style "housewife" images as well - I am SO going to get some!!
Oh, and the blog design was made by Laura. She is a total whizz - I just gave her a rough idea what I wanted and she got it spot on!! She did the blinkie as well. I was so afraid of installing the new design, being somewhat clueless (cough-cough) but she sent the files with step-by-step instructions and the whole thing was up in 15 minutes!!! :)
