What a beautiful day! The sun is shining and it is close to 70 so this morning, I slipped on my straight leg, Mom jeans and off I went on my bike-the first ride of the season. I may ride again later today-need to build up those legs after a winter of hibernating!
After getting lunch for my mother, and sharing some Facebook time with her-I click, she looks and listens, she took a nap and I went to the craft room which is once again comfortable-it gets so cold in the winter! Today was a Sassy Cheryl's Day! I have so many of these images now, and there simply isn't enough time in the day to color them all! I have a ridiculous paper inventory, but some of it has been in-house since 2000 and quite frankly, I'm a bit tired of it, but waste not want not! However, I did get a couple of little pads while visiting my BFF and have been using those a lot so you may recognize the DP as I've used it on multiple cards!
WITCH & FROG
Now this paper has been around for a while-but not at my house! My BFF is so generous when she decides to purge-new to me! I love the frogs and there are a number of Sassy Cheryl images that would so work with this DP. I chose the Witch and Frog, using some less than traditional colors for her hat and cape.
I colored with Copics, stitched, used a Martha Stewart punch, and added BLING. No ribbons here-I thought about it but...
I used this sketch from Mojo Monday so I'll head on
over there and enter this in this week's challenge.
Now, these cards are just because-no challenge, not DT work, just fun-the best reason of all to make a card!
INSPIRATION
Cheryl based this drawing on herself as a young art student-the perfect image for my girls, especially Kate who majored in painting though it looks more like Kristin as a child. I had these cards in house-they're much smaller then I usually use because I love to use larger images! This worked nicely, though and is perfect for just a quick note! The paper is K&Company-very current!
And, finally, I loved this image from the first moment Cheryl introduced it. Living far from kids and my BFF and other long time friends, I can so relate to this little girl. She is called
MISSING YOU
Another one of those K&Company pads here. I colored with Copics and experimenting with backgrounds a bit. I do not have an air compressor and am certain I will not have one any time soon. I used chalk here-yeah, I know, not very good-sigh! The flower is a digi from Fred, She Said. The leaves are punched-I have had this punch "forevah"-I'd like the Martha Stewart punch that my fellow crafters are using but this works! Finally, I added a little trim. Oh, and the polka dots-a gel pen.
So many wonderful cards in one post - you are really spoiling your readers! I absolutely adore your colouring!

Hi Ann! I am lovin these new cards.. your coloring with the copic is wonderful... I can see your shading and highlighting in just the right spots..
a lot of people that color with copics seem to just-I call- color book color...
I would love to know what gel pen you use... I have so many and can't seem to find one that will actually work more than one time.
thanks for all your wonderful comments, it makes my day.
hugs to ya.
