Time for challenge #4 hosted by Tracy. This week, Tracy asked us to make an
Easter card and/or an ABC
(anything but a card!) The design team members have been extra crafty this week-some awesome things and beautiful cards!
Join us this week---you'll need a Sassy Cheryls image, something to color with-(I'm learning of all the options out there!), some paper, scissors, adhesive, and a bit of creativity! The prize is a $5.00 gift certificate to Sassy Cheryls store-woo hoo! Link your blog or page to the challenge blog.
Okay, then, here's what I turned out...
Look at this cute little fellow---
SPECIAL EGG BOY
---and of course, he has a female counterpart who is equally as cute. Look at that bunny-now that's a cutie!
I colored with Copics and used Martha Stewart's flock on the bunny's tail. The "Hippity-hoppity" stamp came form the dollar bin at Michaels---as did the papers and the brads. I chalked the sky-no airbrush in my future!
Today, I decided to try a little candy box to add to a package I'm sending to my BFF and, since it will be arriving during the Easter season, I used an Easter image-one that might be a bit too appropriate for those up North...
EASTER BUNNY SNOWMAN
I think this guy was a special request. Cheryl is kind of partial to snowmen as are many of her followers. He is cute and, oh, so happy :)
I cut an oval and then an oval border. Sewing the rick-rack around the oval proved to be a bit of a challenge for me! I can sew straight lines all day long but those curves were murder! I colored with my Copics and glittered up the snowman with Martha's Glitter. I used the flock on his bunny ears! The box is a template that a friend shared with me some years ago-it's actually bigger than the one I found online and I needed it big enough to hold my candy treasure! A little ribbon, a bow tied with a Bow Easy and some Prima flowers and there you have it.
Unfortunately, I didn't make this until today and it was dark and rainy so my picture was less than lovely but here it is...
This bunny is by Lou Rankin-just love his soulful eyes!
So, hop quick like a bunny, over to the rest of the gangs' blogs for some inspiration and then, get all the details right HERE!
Fantastic projects Ann. Thanks for all you do for the DT. Sending hugs, Peggy
