It's been a week already-just loved all of the blogs I had an opportunity to visit and the terrific cards I got to see. This week's challenge is a sketch. Don't you just love a good sketch?! My favorite part of this card making process is sadly, not the card making, but the coloring. I wish it weren't so. Now a scrapbook page---no sketch necessary. That's not to say I've never used one, but I seldom feel I need to refer to one. In any case, this is a terrific sketch that I know I'll use again and again!
This sketch, called Tracy's Sketch, was created by fellow teammate, Tracy. Kudos, Tracy-this ROCKS!
My challenge this week was not the sketch-that's a big help, but deciding on an image! I LOVE Sassy Cheryl's images and the sale this past week was just too good to be true. I did two cards, one with a brand new image, perfect for the start of spring...
MARCH WINDS
I purchased this paper and the embellishments at Michaels while visiting my BBF. I just love those flowers! This is a K & Company collection called "Handmade". I colored with my Copics, chalked the sky, and added just a dash of white gel pen and finally, doodled around the edges of the image.
Well, I had a few more flowers and lots more paper so I did another-also a great Easter/Springtime image...
Pretty much the same process here...but I purchased Martha Stewart flock on this visit---I'd always wanted to try this on it was on SALE-WooHoo! It doesn't show up well here but it sure is cute live.
You can purchase these images at Sassy Cheryls! If you type in the name of the image, you will pull it right up. Personally, I love the thrill of the "hunt". You never know what might strike your fancy along the way! The winner of this week's challenge will win a $5.00 gift certificate at Sassy Cherlys-that's at least two images :)
I'd so appreciate your leaving a comment-it really makes my day-and I'll leave you one, too, if you play along and link your card HERE. You have until next Monday to enter. If you don't have a blog but are a member at PCP, you can post your card to your gallery and tag it SCDSC2
Oh, and be sure to check out the incredible work of my terrific teammates-I am in awe of all their talent!
I love both your cards Ann and the colours you chose are beautiful.

Hi Ann! I really like that image, I think I might color the March Winds next! I love K& Co. I have tons of their papers, but not that one! I might need to make a trip to Michaels this week.
