Yup, it's Thursday and that means it's time for the Twisted Thursday Challenge at Shirleys2Girls. I've gone seasonal on you! The twist this week: PASTELS---now how easy is that at this time of year?! Pastels and Easter go together like GREEN and St. Patrick's Day or RED and Valentine's Day. We use pastels on all things new---and Easter is about rebirth. Our very own Georgia, a talented S2G design team member welcomed in a brand new grandson yesterday-I'm guessing lots of baby blues and soft yellows, oh and perhaps pastel green at that house this week!
I think I must make as many Easter cards as I do Christmas cards-this is such a special holiday, and while in my personal life, I am affected very profoundly by the meaning of this season and this day, I like my greetings to be joyful and fun...sharing the message without pushing the word. Shirelys2Girls have a series of cutie patootie Easter bunnies and each comes with it's own sentiment-how great is that! Here's what I did:
How cute is this little bunny peeking out of the basket?!
I used Basic Grey Paper, Copics to color, a Martha Stewart punch for my border, Glossy Accents on the eggs, Prima flowers, a button, and Recollections Epoxy stickers from Michaels. I did some machine stitching, too.
I plan to get double duty out of this card-got this great sketch from the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge!
This past Sunday, Shirleys2Girls held a Digi Day over at SNR and gave away a great image to all who played. In addition, people played for 10 more images! Shirleys2Girls will host another digi day next month-be sure to check it out!
Now, the reason I brought this up---well, I took advantage of this freebie and had a great time chatting with my online friends. The card I made using the freebie also works for this challenge so here it is...
I liked this little guy so much, I printed him three times for this card!Okay, now, quick like a bunny, hop over to the blogs of the other design team members and see what they've done with this challenge!!! You'll get lots of inspiration! Please join us this week-we'd love to see what you're up to!
Oh, and can I tell you something, we love to hear from you. It takes just a second to leave a comment and it means so much!
