See that fabulous collection of Copics? I <3 my Copics-I mean LOVE them! I've been collecting and coloring for a few years now. While I'm not an expert, I'm comfortable with them. I know colors and combos. They blend beautifully, too!
Several of my Sassy buddies are truly talented and skilled using Prisma Pencils and Gamosol. I have a nice set of Prismas. They are seldom used. This fall, a Sassy friend gave me Prisma lessons---under her tutalage, I did fine, but then, well, I didn't continue to practice. It's no secret that I am a BIG Sassy Cheryl's fan. She loves Faber Castell Polychromos pencils so when my DH asked for a wish list, I asked for a set. So now, I have LOTS of pencils I almost never use!
Now, if you follow Sassy Cheryl's blog, Illustrated by Cheryl, you know she has posted a couple of videos showing how she uses a combo of Copics and pencils to color the images she sells on Etsy. (I am the proud owner of a couple of Cheryl Alger hand colored images-fabulous!)
This is where my story really begins. Cheryl listed colors she used to color this sweet image. I dug through my pencils---could NOT find the color I needed. And then, my ADD brain switched tasks-I need a color chart so that I KNOW what colors I have! This turned into an afternoon project. The next day, I decided to organize the pencils. I have this wonderful pencil case. Once I started putting the pencils in, I realized I needed to have a better organized chart. Soooo...
This is what I did...
After ALL of this, I still do NOT have that one stinking pencil!
I'm honestly not sure I'll ever get the hang of this pencil thing.
Fortunately, I LOVE my Copics!
OMG I NEED THAT PENCIL CASE! i have the 150 count prismacolor pencils, please let me know where you got that fabulous case:) :) :)

That pencil case is outstanding, and love the color chart. I'm the same way with all the pencils I have, I don't have the one's Cheryl uses. Need to organize mine a bit better. Yes you will get the hang of it. Just keep practicing. I'm finding I love using all three to color images.

Good grief woman. You certainly did put a lot of work into that chart. Making one for me? LOL It's a fabulous idea. I just grab 'em and go when I color. . . .
Love it.
Thanks for playing along in the Sassy Cheryl's SMThursday fun this week.
